Go Green Tips
We are collecting several items right now. We are always collecting used athletic shoes and old cell phones.
In addition, we are currently collecting beer and soda bottle caps (twist-off preferred) and Altoids hinged metal containers (larger size) for an upcoming project. We are also collecting used greeting cards--any kind (birthday, thank-you, Christmas/holiday, Valentine, etc.) for donation to St.Jude's Recycled Card Program.
All collection items can be dropped off in one of two Env Ed collection bins outside the front office.

Earth Club runs several collections throughout the year including used athletic shoes for the Nike Reuse-a-Shoe program (check out the details at www.nikereuseashoe.com) and old cell phones (to raise money for the school), which we collect all year long every year. Check the website for items being collected at the moment for various projects we're doing for the school or the community. Earth Club meets once a month during the students' lunch recess.
Members work with collections (e.g. preparing shoes for the Nike drive) or work individually (e.g. writing letters to businesses asking what more they can do for the environment) or in groups (e.g. putting on Earth Day "commercials" on morning announcements) on projects selected by the group that will further educate the school community on the importance of being environmentally conscience.
